PROPHETESS Mattie Bass, founder
and overseer of The Seed of Abraham Pentecostal Church, is on a week-long tour of the church's stations and establishments
in the country. The Seed of Abraham general secretary Evans Khobidi said the USA prophetess decided to visit Malawi following
a request from late Bishop Dulla Voster Khobidi-the church's regional overseer who died last March. Khobidi said Bass
is accompanied by Lois Sharpe, Chuck Benard Harmon, Beverly Hicks and Calvin Robinson. During the tour, Bass will among
other activities, hold seminars for ministers, youths and lay leaders at Chifundo I Orphan Care Centre in Ndirande. "That
aside, she will also appoint and consecrate the new regional overseer to replace Khobidi. "The group leaves the country
on Tuesday, leaving behind Prophet Harmon who will visit and evangelise every branch of the church in Malawi and Mozambique",
he said, adding that this is the first time for the 86-year old prophetess to visit Malawi. The church, whose mission
statement is to reach the lost for Jesus Christ, has 57 branches and 3,9994 registered members in Malawi and Mozambique. End
