Apostle Karon L. Williams’ Biography

Aimee Semple Mcpherson

Karon Lorna Williams is the maternal granddaughter of the late General Superintendent and founder of The Full Gospel Temple of Prayer, Inc., Elect Lady Hattie Rachel Ferguson. Mother Hattie was ordained by Elder E. F. Morris in 1925. In 1927, she began the ministry with a humble mission on B Street in Yakima, Washington. The crowds and membership grew resulting from her preaching the gospel during the service when the Lord instantly healed a man from a terminal spinal illness. Sister Ferguson’s work established more than eight churches which included a host of ministers and multi-racial congregations throughout the Yakima Valley in Washington, Idaho, Oregon, Arizona, California, and Wisconsin. She also established a bible school for the ministry and published The Crusade, The Full Gospel Temple of Prayer’s publication. She was a friend of the internationally known, Aimee Semple McPherson, the founder of The Foursquare Church denomination.

Karon’s own parents, the late Overseer, Elder Russell Edward and Elect Lady Mother Cleo Ernestine Williams, worked under Mother Ferguson’s administration until her home going in February 16, 1950. The Williams continued to work under the auspices of the former administration preaching the gospel and birthing out ministers and establishing works. Sister Karon followed the call of God on her life and received salvation at a young age. Afterward, Sister Karon had an awesome experience with the Lord. He called her by name in an audible voice and revealed to her what her life would be like growing up to be an adult. At age 13, she received the baptism of the Holy Ghost. She learned the Word of God from her parents’ bible instructions; eventually studied for the ministry and was licensed in 1975 and ordained in 1982. She assisted the pastorate, working under their leadership until their passage from labor to reward. Mother Ernestine went home to be with the Lord, July 1985 and Elder Russell Williams went into the presence of the Lord, April 1988, respectively. The spiritual inheritance continues…

Since that time Superintendent Karon L. Williams oversees the national work of the Full Gospel Temple of Prayer, Inc., in Toppenish Washington and Madera California. Her experience in the Christian ministry includes pastoral, youth evangelism, guest speaker for conventions, radio, TV, Singles, and Women’s Department ministries, teaching Bible courses for new ministers and new converts. She conducts services where the Spirit of the Lord is present to bring healing to His people. The Lord has anointed her with the mantle of the Apostle- being sent into a vast five fold ministry, to accomplish the work of the apostle, prophet, pastor, evangelist, and teacher as the Holy Ghost wills to demonstrate in her life. Through many undeniable spiritual confirmations and by the leading of the Holy Ghost, she publicly acknowledged her apostolic calling at CDC Ministry Fellowship, Inc. in the company of the College of Apostles and Bishops and congregants of Harvest Time International Ministries, Inc., in Chicago Illinois on September 5, 2004. The consecration of Overseer Apostle Karon Lorna Williams was a gracious celebration. She looks forward to reaping the rewards of a fruitful apostolic and prophetic ministry with the mighty manifestations of the Holy Ghost- with the Lord confirming his word and signs and wonders, healings, and miracles. Karon was given an award at The Williams Family Reunion Banquet held in Chicago in July, 2004. She was recognized for her accomplishments in ministry and education.

Apostle Karon lives in Seattle Washington and works as a public school educator. She fellowships and is actively involved in ministry at the Seed of Abraham Pentecostal Church in Renton Washington since 1992, until the home going of Pastor Mattie J. Bass in 2007 and is currently serving under the leadership of Pastor Lois M. Sharpe.

Karon’s dad was the minister preaching at the service where a little lady named Mrs. Mattie J. Bernikow was invited by Karon’s mother to come to the altar to pray to receive Jesus as her Lord. Sister Karon was the young girl that was an eye witness to that special time of prayer at the altar. That little lady became the Founder and Pastor of the Seed of Abraham Pentecostal Church, Inc., Prophetess Mattie J. Bernikow Bass. The rest of the story is history in the making.
